After the interesting and dense last season, we offer at least that much excitement in the new season: we will present two new shows in the fall-winter season, we will attend national and international festivals and, of course, we will continue to play our shows in ZUG.
At the end of September, we presented our most recent show by Krisztina Sipos in a private showing. The show is entitled Fishez and it was devised by the creative team: Zsolt Bodoki-Halmen, Zsolt Csepei, Zsófia Gábor, Pál Emőke, Endre Rácz, Orsolya Rend, Maya Sebők, Júlia Sipos and the director Krisztina Sipos. The production explores the relationship between body and time in a strange, relative world where everything can happen. The first public performance will take place on October 18, 2018. The creation of the show was supported by AFCN and NKA within the About them/ For them project.
At the beginning of November, we will start another rehearsal process under the guidance of Lovassy Cseh Tamás. The show entitled Romania 100 will be about the relations between the majority and the minority, about the differences between the generations and the manipulation of the media, the story being set in a TV show. The show director is also the author of the production text and the planned date of the presentation is mid-December 2018. The production was supported by AFCN within the Romania 100 project.
If it’s autumn, then it’s festival season: on October 5 we will perform our show Grove on two occasions at the Transit Festival in Satu-Mare, and on October 30th Occupy Yourself at the Skupi Festival in Skopje, Macedonia. Also, Unpredicted has been invited to the dance.movement.theater Festival in Gheorgheni, but the festival – due to lack of funds – has been canceled.
We open our season at the ZUG on Sunday, October 7 with Grove, directed by Bálint Botos. The shows Occupy Yourself and Fishez will also be in the program; also, you can continue to participate in JamZug, which now, instead of Mondays, will take place on Saturdays, every two weeks. On October 12th you can watch a show at the Focus Atelier and between October 24 – 26 we will show the competition films of the Primanima Film Festival for children.
