Váróterem Projekt at the Theatre Olympics
In response to the invitation of the Bethlen Square Theatre in Budapest, the Váróterem Projekt will also participate in the Theatre Olympics, with no less than four performances in the capital. Of course, the programme of our guest performances will include classroom and educational theatre productions, which are a very important part of our repertoire. In addition, we will bring to Budapest the studio performances that we have created in our new headquarters, ZIZ – art and social area.
On Thursday, 11th May, we will be showing Bánk bán? Present!, presented twice in a classroom at the Hungarian-English Bilingual Elementary and Secondary School of Arts in Erzsébetváros. These will be the 238th and 239th performances of the production, which has been on the programme for 11 years and is an adaptation of József Katona’s classic. Andrei Visky will be seen in the roles of Biberach and King Endre II.

Our On stage project has come to an end
Our latest project entitled On stage, supported by the Town Hall and Local Council of Cluj-Napoca Municipality, has come to an end. Within the project we’ve been performing our educational and experimental performances, four in total, mostly for young audiences: Bánk bán? Present! for high school students, Charlie, the Crow for elementary school students, and in our new studio @ ZIZ – art and social area we performed Alcestis and The Sixth Day. During the project we visited 4 Hungarian-speaking high schools: the János Zsigmond Unitarian High School, the Reformed College, the Apáczai Csere János Teoretic High School and, as a final chord of the project, the Brassai Sámuel High School. Our six studio and 15 classroom performances were attended by a total of approximately 581 spectators. Thank you for being with us, thank you for hosting us! And thanks to the Town Hall and Local Council of Cluj-Napoca Municipality for the support!
